  ଆଜିର ଭାଗବତ ବାଣୀ କପିଳ ଭଗବାନ୍ କହୁଛନ୍ତି - ବାୟୁଦ୍ବାରା ବାହିତ ଗନ୍ଧ ଯେପରି ତାହାର ଆଶ୍ରୟ ପୁଷ୍ପଠାରୁ ବାହାରି ଘ୍ରାଣେନ୍ଦ୍ରିୟରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଯାଏ,ଭକ୍ତିଯୋଗରେ ତତ୍ପର ଓ ରାଗଦ୍ବେଷାଦି ବିକାରରହିତ ଚିତ୍ତ ସେହିପରି ପରମାତ୍ମାଙ୍କୁ ପାଇଯାଏ । ମୁଁ ଆତ୍ମାରୂପରେ ସର୍ବଦା ସବୁ ଜୀବଙ୍କ ଭିତରେ ରହିଛି, ତେଣୁ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ସର୍ବଭୂତସ୍ଥିତ ପରମାତ୍ମାଙ୍କୁ ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ମୋତେ ଅନାଦର କରି କେବଳ ପ୍ରତିମାରେ ହିଁ ମୋତେ ପୂଜା କରେ, ତାହାର ସେହି ପୂଜା କେବଳ ଆଡ଼ମ୍ବର ଭିନ୍ନ ଅନ୍ୟ କିଛି ନୁହେଁ । ମୁଁ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କର ଆତ୍ମା ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ବର; ମୁଁ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଦେହରେ ରହିଛି । ଏପରି ସ୍ଥିତିରେ ଯେ ମୋହବଶ ହୋଇ, ମୋତେ ଉପେକ୍ଷା କରି କେବଳ ପ୍ରତିମାପୂଜାରେ ଲାଗିରହେ,ତାର ଉପାସନା କେବଳ ପାଉଁଶରେ ଆହୁତି ଦେବା ସଙ୍ଗେ ସମାନ । ଯେଉଁ ବିଭେଦଦର୍ଶୀ ଓ ଅଭିମାନୀ ପୁରୁଷ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜୀବମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଶତ୍ରୁତା କରେ ଏବଂ ସେପରି କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟରେ ବିରାଜମାନ ମୋ ପ୍ରତି ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ପରମାତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଦ୍ବେଷ କରେ, ତାକୁ କଦାପି ମାନସିକ ଶାନ୍ତି ମିଳିପାରେ ନାହିଁ । ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜୀବମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅପମାନିତ କରେ, ସେ ଛୋଟବଡ଼ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସାମଗ୍ରୀରେ ନାନା ପ୍ରକାର ବିଧିବିଧାନ ସହିତ ମୋର ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିକୁ ପୂଜା କଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୁଁ ତା'ଉପରେ ପ୍ରସନ୍ନ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ । ଶ୍ରୀ ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ଶରଣଂ

Parasurameswar temple

  This temple was built in the 7th century during the reign of Shailodbhava’s dynasty. It is widely regarded as the place where the Odisha temple’s architecture began. It is also one of the best-preserved temples in the state. Parasurameswar temple is the first temple that has the entrance hall attached to the Sanctorum. The appearance of crude joints indicates a skill that has been acquired. Its antiquity is evident by the presence of Asta Grahas (8 planets) on its lintel.   Brahmeswara temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in Bhubaneswar (Odisha). It was built at the end 9th century CE. The temple is well-carved both inside and outside. The 18th year of Udyotakesari, the Somavamsi King, was the year that the temple was built. This corresponds to 1058CE.   Rath Yatra Rath Yatra Also known as Car Festival is dedicated to Lord Jagannath who is believed to be an avatar of Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna. The Rath or Chariot Yatra on this festival represents the journey of Lord Krishna from Gokul to Mathura. The huge deities of Krishna, Balaram and Subhadra are taken for a religious yatra on the chariots to the summer temple for a week. The main chariot is 14 meters high and 10 meters square with 16 wheels, construction of which is began two months prior to the festival. People of Orissa actively participate in the Rath Yatra. This festival is celebrated to bring prosperity in agriculture fields and also to celebrate womanhood. The festival is dedicated to Basu- Mata , the Earth Goddess and during this festival, all the agriculture activities are stopped to allow the Goddess to rest. Pana- a drink made from Misri and water is hung over the Tulsi plant to represent the rain. This festival is very auspicious for farming and agricultural activities in Orrisa. Chandan Yatra

  Chandan Yatra Chandan Yatra   Also known as Gandhalepana Yatra, it is the longest festival of Orissa which is celebrated at Jagannath temple at Puri. The 42-day long festival is celebrated by worshiping the deities with sandal mixed water. The deities are taken out of the temple for a holy patron in water in the traditional boats called ‘ Chapa’. The boats are beautifully decorated generally in red and white colour to give the resemblance of a swan floating in the water. The conclusion of the pompous festival is marked at the Vishnu or Shiva temples in Puri. Thousand of pilgrimages gather to take part in the celebration of this great festival of Orrisa.

Kalinga Mahotsav

 The festival has an interesting story connected with its celebration. A major part of Orrisa was earlier known as Kalinga, the land which is seen brutal murders and death of martyrs during the reign of Ashoka. It is at this place that Ashoka decided to live a peaceful and non- violent life. Kalinga Mahotsav is celebrated to mark the victory of peace over war. To pay tribute to the martyrs of Mauryan dynasty various Martial art acts are performed on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar at Dhauli Shanti Stupa. The vibrant and brave performances of martial arts not only attracts the people of Orissa but from all over the world.

Durga Pooja

 Durga Pooja is the most important festival of Orissa which is magnificently celebrated all over the state of Orrisa. It is celebrated in the month of Ashwin or Kartik, (September or October as per the English calendar). The streets and lighted up and Pandals are decorated to set the spirit of festivity among the people. The huge idols of Durga Maa along with two other avatars of Maa Laxmi and Maa Saraswati are immaculate in the Pandals. The chants of Mantras and morning and evening Artis can be heard to mark the grand celebration of this festival. Durga Pooja is celebrated for three – four days in Orissa and holds an important significance for the Hindu devotees.
